International Research Journal of Infinite Innovations in Engineering and Technology (IRJIET) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct. Plagiarism, in any form, undermines the integrity of scholarly research and publication. Therefore, IRJIET adheres strictly to policies and guidelines to detect and prevent plagiarism in all submitted manuscripts.

1. Definition of Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is the act of presenting the ideas, words, or work of others as one's own without proper acknowledgment. It includes, but is not limited to, the following:

a. Copying verbatim text from another source without quotation marks and proper citation. b. Paraphrasing or rephrasing someone else's work without proper citation. c. Using ideas, concepts, or data from another source without crediting the original author. d. Self-plagiarism, which involves recycling or reusing one's own previously published work without proper citation or indication.

2. Policy Implementation:

Authors: Authors submitting manuscripts to IRJIET must ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published elsewhere. Any sources of ideas, text, or data used in the manuscript must be properly cited and acknowledged. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use copyrighted material and for properly crediting all sources.

Editors: Editors of IRJIET are responsible for ensuring the originality of submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts suspected of containing plagiarized content will be rigorously examined using plagiarism detection software. Editors will make decisions based on the extent and severity of plagiarism detected, which may result in rejection of the manuscript or imposition of appropriate penalties.

Reviewers: Reviewers are expected to report any suspicions of plagiarism detected during the review process to the journal's editorial board. Reviewers should assess the originality and authenticity of the manuscript's content and provide feedback to the editors accordingly.

3. Plagiarism Detection:

IRJIET employs plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts for potential instances of plagiarism. Authors should be aware that manuscripts found to contain plagiarized content will be subject to the journal's plagiarism policy and may be rejected or withdrawn from publication.

4. Penalties for Plagiarism:

In cases where plagiarism is detected, the following penalties may be applied:

a. Rejection of the manuscript. b. Withdrawal of the published article. c. Notification of the author's institution or employer. d. Prohibition on future submissions to IRJIET. e. Public disclosure of the plagiarism incident, including naming and shaming the responsible parties.

5. Appeals Process:

Authors who believe their work has been wrongly accused of plagiarism may appeal the decision by providing evidence to support their claim of originality. Appeals will be reviewed by the journal's editorial board, and decisions will be made based on the available evidence.
